Concise Media restructures its Management Team
06/07/2020
Concise Media announces today that it has made some changes to its top team to support the continued growth of the business following the addition of several highly established new clients over recent months.
The changes will see Kevin Waller move from Managing Director and Founder to CEO and Founder. Graeme Symon has been invited to join the business full-time as Managing Director having previously held Non-Executive Director status. This change is effective immediately to help drive the direction of the Company and support Kevin.
Kevin Waller comments: “I identified the need of greater headroom with Concise to focus on strategic direction and continued client success. Whilst the Board has always been hands-on and built on a partner model, the significant increase in pace within the business demanded a shift in responsibilities to help fuel further growth of Concise. Whilst 2020 has been an unprecedented year so far and has seen us continue to win new clients, the lockdown gave us the time and space to fully work through this process. We are now in a fantastic place to continue growing the business over the years ahead.”
Graeme is an established operator having held multiple senior roles at media and technology companies. Well-versed in building realistic and successful commercial outcomes, he joined the Board in 2018 and shares Kevin’s aspirations for what Concise can achieve.
Graeme Symon comments: “I am thrilled to be joining Concise at this period of the company’s history. I have experienced first-hand what the Concise team can do under Kevin, having been a client. To now be at the sharp end of the company’s mission is a privilege and I look forward to great success.”
Mark Winkler, founder of Red Earth Advisors has been invited to join the Board of Concise in the capacity of CFO. Mark, formally of Deloitte, is a Chartered Accountant and has worked closely with companies in the UK and internationally, providing financial, strategic and governance support. He has helped businesses who are experiencing rapid organic growth and anticipate corporate finance support. He joins the Board from the 1st September.
Commenting on the changes, Mark adds: “I am very excited to be part of Concise. I see a real opportunity in what they offer to business and how their Services suite can grow. I am looking forward to being part of the mission over the coming years.”
Emma Waller joins Concise’s team full-time as Company Secretary and Head of Finance & Administration. Emma, previously worked at Channel 4 and Space and Time, and has been an integral part of the business as a member of the Board of Directors since its inception. In this role, she can now create the structure Concise needs to fulfil its increasing administrative and operational requirements to the high standards that the company has always set.
Emma says: “I’ve been part of the business since day one and this is the perfect time to take on more responsibility to help Concise reach its full potential given the business’ growing needs for a formal Finance and Administration function.”
Founded in 2012, Concise Media has grown significantly to now have 20 clients and 13 staff, with the enviable track record of a 100% retention rate on both.
